Swami's farewell to All, March 20, 2011 ( Radio Sai)
Sai Ram Brothers and Sisters:
A week since our Beloved Swami has left His Body. Dear Father, we love you and miss you.
But
He is the Paramaatma and has never left
us, is always with us, our Hrudayavaasi ( the Indweller of our Hearts). The
loving prayers of millions of devotees all over the world during the
last one month has released tremendous vibrations and has given solace
to us all.
The principles He declared resound in our hearts:
Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema, Ahimsa.
Love All, Serve
All. Help Ever, Hurt Never.
His Life is His message, one of constant and
uninterrupted loving service to All. As His devotees we must dedicate ourselves
to transformation of our Hearts and of service to the needy and to better society. Our lives are His message.
Swami says Unity, Purity, Divinity. We must be united as One World Family of Mankind in
pure, loving, devotional service, the golden path to Divinity. As the Avataar of Love, He has
assured us that we will reach Him. Let us be steadfast in devotion. Swami is
Sarva Devata Svarupa - the Embodyment of
All Divinities. Sri Sai Gayathree :
Om Saayeeshvaraaya Vidmahe
Sathya Devaaya Dheemahi
Tannas Sarvah Prachodayaat ll
We know this Sai is Supreme Divinity incarnate.
We meditate on this God of Truth.
May this Almighty Personality lead us on the path of total liberation.
Jai Sai Ram!

Sai Ram:
With today's announcement that Bhagavan Baba has apparently left His
body, much is being made in some quarters about Swami stating
that He would live for 96 years. Some thoughts.
When our grandfather B. Sri Ghandikota Subrahmanya Sastry gained merger
with Bhagavan on the 1st day of Dasara, 1986, at the age of 93, Swami,
in a discourse in Poornachandra Auditorium and when He came to our flat
in Prasanthi Nilayam afterwards to console the family, stated that our
grandfather was a maharishi and had reached the age of 100 years.
When we asked our father, B. Sri Ghandikota Subba Rao about this
apparent discrepancy, he told us that Swami uses the traditional Indian
Lunar years, based on lunar months not adjusted for the solar years, in
determining a person's lifespan. 12 lunar months make 1 lunar year. 100
such Lunar years equaled 93 years for our grandfather
When Swami mentioned He would live for
96 years, if we take this as the age in traditional Lunar years, it
would be - 85 solar years, according to the Western Calendar.
Bhagavaan Sri Sri Sri Sathya Sai Baba is Truth incarnate. The World is
His Play. Let us be patient and pray, with unshakable faith in Him. He is beyond the Body.
Jai Sai Ram.

The
events surrounding Bhagavan in the last week or so that He has been in
His Super Specialty Hospital have been very unsettling for us.
In this context we quote from the following divine discourse by Bhagavan on Vijaya Dasami , October 5, 2003 in Prasanthi Nilayam, after His hip injury earlier that year:
Many
of you are anxious thinking that Swami is not keeping good health over the last
few days. In fact, My health is very good. Real health is not related to the
body. As you equate Swami with this physical frame, it appears as though Swami
is not well. Yad Bhavam Tad Bhavati (as is the feeling, so is the
result). Do not identify Me with this physical body. I am not Dehasvarupa
(body), I am Dehi (the indweller). There is no difference between you and Me. I
have all powers in Me. But you are deluded seeing My physical form. Whatever I
am doing is only to satisfy the doctors and other devotees. As a matter of fact,
there is no trace of ill-health in Me. I am always healthy. Not only today,
till 96 years I will be like this. I can do whatever I want. But those who
go by the physical form think that Swami is ageing. Youth and old age are
related to the body and not to Me. I am always the same. I can do anything.
However, this body is yours. This has come for your sake. You can change it the
way you like. If you think that Swami is strong and healthy, yes so He is. There
is no weakness in Me. My angas (limbs) may appear to be weak. But I am not
Angasvarupa, I am Atmasvarupa. Wherever you may go, worship God as Atmasvarupa.
Do not identify Him with an Akara (form). Give up body consciousness and develop
Atmic awareness. Only when you lead a spiritual life, will you be able to
visualize the Atmasvarupa. If you identify Me with the body, I cannot walk even
two steps. Do not think about the Akara. Have faith that I am the Atmasvarupa.
Then I will always remain healthy.
Realize
the Atma as your very life. Everyone of you is endowed with divine energy. But
you are misusing it. Your youth is in your hands. Your very life is in your
hands. You are not the body; you are the Life Principle. Body is meant to serve
as an instrument in your quest for truth. The same Atma is present in all. Here
you see a silver tumbler with water. The tumbler is the basis for water, silver
is the basis for tumbler and Divinity is the basis for silver. Divinity is not
made up of material. Hence, give up the materialistic standpoint. Realize that
your Swami is not constrained by Akara, He is full of Ananda (bliss). When you
develop such faith, you too will experience Ananda. Many devotees were worried,
"Why has our Swami not given a single discourse during the last one week
though many others have spoken?" Of course, whatever I speak is love in
verbal form. But remember whenever I come amidst you, the love, the bliss and
the strength that manifest in Me cannot be described in words. In fact, I don't
require food or drink. Bliss is My food. Develop such faith.
A month before
he passed away on the first day of Dasara 1986, our grandfather
Brahmasri Ghandikota Subrahmanya Sastry ( the revealer of the Sri Sai Gayathree) told our father Ghandikota Venkata Subba Rao (the revealer of the Sri Sai Surya Gayathree, the Sri Sai Hiranyagarbha Gayathree and the Sri Sai Chakra) the Ghandikota Rahasyam ( secret):
Swami is verily the Sarva Devata Svarupa ( The Embodiment of All Forms of Divinity)! Never ever forget He is God!
The ways of the Lord are mysterious. Maya is ever present. Unshakeable faith is necessary.
When our father
or mother is in the hospital, we run there and pray to God for their
well being. Swami is our Hrudayavasi - He resides in the hearts of devotees. We don't have to run anywhere. Our
duty, wherever we are, is to constantly pray to Swami for Him with love. He will respond.
Sai Ram,
Ghandikota Aryama
