All is God's work

Embodiments of love,

On a tree there is always the flower first and the fruit next. Only with the fruits of action one can get wisdom. O sons of sacred Bharath listen to this. There are three types of action: (1) Meritorious; (2) Mixed; (3) Sinful. The first, with the body and your strength work for society and thereby please God. The purpose of the body is to perform right action. It is not only for securing shelter and food. Know thyself first. Then you will know the Divine. Every human being is a reflection of the Divine. With feeling of divine within, all actions are called meritorious. All the senses, mind and the intellect should be for the benefit of others, and when it is used in this manner, it can be called mixed action. I am an individual in society. Our happiness depends on society. We are born in society. So one should work for the society. So all our capacities are used for self and society. Thirdly, sinful acts. Those actions which are continually selfish are sinful acts. Today, the human nature and country has become highly problematic. The most important problem now is the financial problem. This is followed by the unemployment and poverty problems. Why is the country poor today? There may be minerals, forests, wealth, etc. Man has to develop deep interest to share with others. Man does not know the strength of society and he is lazy. He is not recognizing his duty. He is not bothered of his future. National economy causes other problems. So one has to recognize the fundamental problem.

In Bharath, there is wealth. How is it to be used? No one knows the reason behind poverty. Once a certain great man investigated the problems of Bharath, as well as other countries. He came to the conclusion that the people who work are less and the (ones) who spend are more. So poverty is sickening this country. Today, educated people are selfish and narrow. All should lead a happy life in society. Here, the equality has declined. What has happened to the economy today. For instance, if a pit is in one spot the mound is a high pile beside the pit. So, how to equalize the both. Fill the pit with more mud. In the present society, there are three classes of people, the rich, the middle class and the poor. No man can become rich without the help of others. He became great only through the co-operation of others, but he forgets this. Because he is ungrateful, the country has declined. So everyone should express gratitude for all the help received. The reason for the economic problem is because selfishness is on the rise. Wealth is amassed in one place, like stagnant water. Just as the blood circulates in the body (or else there is a blood clot) money too should circulate or else the economy comes to a standstill. So duty not properly discharged leads to poverty. The money today is not channeled in the correct way. Everyone should be satisfied with the lot one gets. Try and love the work you get. But man is wasting his time today. Know the four things. Firstly, don't waste time. Don't do useless works. Undertake actions aimed at social good. This is fundamental discrimination. However, today this broad-mindedness is missing. Think of your spiritual progress. Look at all work as God's work. Otherwise, it will be a defect. Once you feel it is God's work, there will be no mistakes. So we should have strong faith that everything is God's work. Secondly, there should be no scope for ego. You think that you are great? What is the reason for this ego? For example, in a world map, India is so small. Even smaller is Madras. Kodaikanal is smaller. In Kodaikanal is your house. What are you? So why all this ego? If you are egoistic you are foolish. If you think you are God, then there is no scope for ego. In the atom there is God. In the macrocosm there is God. In every tiny seed there is a tree. Therefore, the smallest and the biggest are the same. God created everything and every being.

Once a traveler who was walking under the hot sun sat under the cool shade of a banyan tree. He noticed some tiny fruits on the top of the tree. Then across he saw a creeper on the fence of a vegetable garden. There were large pumpkins hanging from them. He thought to himself, God cannot think how to place things. On a large tree there are small fruits whereas on this thin creeper there are large pumpkins. God does not have knowledge of mathematics and engineering. The man then fell off to sleep. When he awoke, he found that many fruits fell. He then realized, "O God is so great. If there were big fruits there would be no shade and those would have hit my head and broken it. Thank God!" So the welfare of the society is planned by God. In God's creation, nothing is bad. Mistake lies in our thinking and feeling. Where there is purity of heart there is wisdom. Today, unfortunately, everything is polluted - the water, food, air, thoughts, head and everything is polluted. The reason is that there are no sacred thoughts.

Life is highly sacred. We should keep only one chair for God alone to sit. Today five people want to sit in the Prime Minister's chair. We allow many others to occupy our hearts. So the mind gets polluted. We must do activities with divine feelings.

All should work and not waste time because of laziness. God won't accept that. Understand the welfare of society, because you are a part of society. The welfare of the society is the welfare of the world. Many had been born before you. Society existed before. Because of welfare of the society, you are born now. So society is the foundation. Take for instance a tumbler. It is made of silver. Without the silver, there can be no tumbler. Likewise in pots, the mud is one. Gold too is one in jewels. So too, God is only one though His forms are many. So the goal is one, have that faith. This is the main principle in the culture of Bharath. Truth is only one. Om is the primal sound. This is the fundamental principle. All zeros (in crores) get their value only due to the number 1. World is a zero, while God is the hero. The rest are passing clouds. God alone was there before and after. Truth is the same in past, present and future. Truth is God. Love only God. Today that love changes into hatred and envy.

Once four children were playing. Their mother called them to have some juice, but each one asked for a different color of juice. One wanted red, another green, the third yellow and the last wanted white. She decided to please all by giving a red glass, a green glass, a yellow and white glass. Similarly, love is one. The divinity should not change. If the love is converted into poison, you get envy, anger, etc. Only love transforms. So the body is a container. Because of the defects in the body, we do bad actions. Do good acts in society. Don't misuse the physical resources. Nowadays, the physical resources are spoilt because of progress in science. Nature is utterly exploited. In God's creation, perfect balance is needed. Now because of misuse, the entire globe is unbalanced.

Educational knowledge should lead to skills, but man is killing instead. So the balance is lost. Once balance is lost, man has outward vision and loses inward vision (insight). Unfortunately, today all want to be equal to Birla and Tata. If you have a grandson, you are called 'Thata' (in Telugu). It is only sacrifice that makes you immortal. The removal of immorality is the only way to immortality. Take the example of King Harishchandra. For the sake of Truth, he sacrificed the kingdom, sold his wife and himself. Yet he never left Truth. He remained permanent in history. He was known as "Sathya Harishchandra". We do not leave our names in history, but we only have his story. The ancients had "His Story". All should follow King Harishchandra.

Today there are no limits. Therefore, the economic problem in country is great. Everyone wants to be rich. Be rich in sacrifice. Who is the richest man? Swami says, "The one who has much satisfaction is the richest." The one with many desires is the poorest. Put a ceiling on desires. Today the desires are piling up to the sky. Like in USA, every family has many cars. If you pile up all the cars, it will reach the sky. For good health, one should walk sometime, even though he has many cars.

In a village once, there was a very compassionate lady. She distributed blankets in the cold winter season. One day a student noticed her. He was surprised that she was so humble as she always walked with her head bent down. He questioned her, why she should walk with her head bent down. She said that, "God had given everything. He gave us two hands. I am only giving a single blanket. What a shame!" So one should not be egoistic. The boy then realized how egoistic he was because of his studies. Thereafter, he performed service to the society. Today, elders are not acting as good examples. They have MBA qualification. They send their children to USA They make them study there. Yes, money and study are necessary. Go, but earn virtues. The suicide rate abroad is very high. The reason is no peace of mind. Peace of mind is only in Bharath. Peace is only in God. So develop virtues. Once you develop virtues, money follows. The Goddess of wealth is not blind. She will examine who will make proper use of money. She will also be sad if anyone misuses wealth.

Once a man prayed. Both the Goddess of wealth and the Goddess of poverty came. They said, "O rich man, which of us two is more beautiful?" The man was in a dilemma. He thought if he said the Goddess of wealth, the Goddess of poverty may punish him with poverty. If he said the Goddess of poverty, the Goddess of wealth would run away from him and he would turn poor. So he said, "To decide who is beautiful, you should walk ahead." So the Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, began walking. As you walk, you are beautiful. Next, the Goddess of poverty began walking. He said, "O, you are beautiful too as you walk. So both are beautiful". So, as wealth comes it is beautiful, as poverty goes it is beautiful. So, only character is important. The one with character is wealthy. Money comes and goes. Where are all the kings and their wealth? No one came with wealth, no one can carry the wealth. You can only carry your good and bad deeds. So earn good deeds only. Good is God. Good has two zeros. One is the worldly zero. Leave that zero and only God remains. You will become God. So everything comes and goes but Divinity neither comes or goes. Enjoy proximity to God. That is the true wealth. That day when you enjoy divine wealth, the country prospers. Why enjoy donkeys milk when one spoon of cows milk is more worthwhile. So divine wealth is attained out of the ocean of milk.

Radha sang, "Krishna, sing with joy and fill our hearts. Talk to the heart with all joy. Take the essence of vedas, and convert it into the Brahma sound. Fill the flute (body) with music." What is flute here? The body has nine holes. So the essence of the Vedas should be filled in the entire body. Convert that into melodious music. What is milk? The four Vedas! We draw milk from the four udders - which is the four Vedas. It is the inhalation and exhalation "Soham" - "I am God".

Radha prayed, "I live for your sake. I cannot live without you, or where you are not. I long for your smile and music. O Krishna, why can you not appear in my dreams? Why are eyes given? To see you only. Why are ears given? To listen to you only. Why is the mouth given? To chant your name and glories. Everything is you only." Radha's main ideal was Krishna only.

Thus don't give up your duty. All is God's work. If work is done in that feeling, it is pleasing to God. Have a limit to money. You are having enough to eat and drink. It is important to drink wine of God. Therefore, if we reduce the desires, there will be no financial problems in the country. We will have more money, divinity, wealth, long life. We can enjoy life for hundred years. The negative qualities like jealousy, hatred, anger, etc. cut our life span. So one who gives up the bad qualities lives long. The country progresses only through less desires (less luggage).
